Director of Housing

Director of Housing Kitimat BC Tamitik Status of Women (TSW) is looking for a highly motivated, energetic individual with experience in non-profits, emergency shelters, or other housing programs to join our team in delivering quality programming and services in Kitimat. The Director of Housing, working from a feminist framework, client-first approach, will manage and oversee operations of the various housing programs provided by TSW. Necessary for this position is a strong set of leadership; communication skills (verbal and written); and excellent computer skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving, will be essential. The successful candidate must have a clear driver's abstract, Class 5 licence and use of a vehicle. Other necessary skills include: Computer competency, IT skills Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Financial/budget management skills Experience working with diverse social groups Knowledge of housing management legislation, relevant government policy and current housing issues Knowledge of social issues which effect women Experience working with women and children that have experienced trauma, abuse or violence Critical incident debriefing and crisis intervention Report writing and statistical data collection First aid and CPR This position offers a competitive wage and benefits package.
