Employment Counsellor Department: WorkBC ProgramStart Date: As soon as possibleHours: (Full time) 35 hours a week Monday &ndash FridaySalary: Competitive hourly rate based on experience &ndash Benefits Date: July 22nd 2019 Position Function: The Employment Counsellor will be responsible for individual career counselling services and workshop facilitation to clients as well as assisting with securing work placement and employment opportunities in the program. They will also follow up with activities and ensuring the participants reach the ultimate outcome of employment according to the program&rsquos timeline. Qualifications, Experience and Abilities: Diploma/Degree in Social Work or related field (Career or Employment Development, vocational rehabilitation, human services, counselling education) OR two years experience as a Career Practitioner Strong ability to implement a client-centered approach to helping, while utilizing a highly structured and prescribed framework Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with the network of services and community stakeholders.
