JOB POSTING Haisla Nation Council has an immediate opening for: Community Health Representative (Temporary/Full-time) Duties to include: Promotion of healthy environments in homes, schools, and community. Collecting water samples for the Environment Health Officer (EHO) of Canada. Making mould spot checks and reporting same, and infestations, to Public Works and the EHO. Organizing traditional food potluck, Good Food Box and Food Share Assisting parents with adding baby to band list and to medical plan Visiting high risk babies once weekly for two months, then once a month for one year. Organizing Optometrist clinics and children head lice removals. Advocating for members denied medical services - dental, medication and equipment. Assisting clients with application for HNC top-ups Counselling pre-natal, post-natal, families on nurturing and good health practices, e.g. nutrition, dental, mental health and drug and alcohol abuse. Other related duties as required by the Health Director.
