The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine in Terrace, B.C. is seeking an individual for the position of Casual Shelter Attendant. This is a junior position providing weekend, vacation, and sick day coverage for the Thornhill Animal Shelter. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $26.69. The Casual Shelter Attendant is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the facilities, care and keeping of impounded animals, and extended duties such as answering phones, responding to minor inquiries, and taking messages as required. Reporting to the Bylaw Enforcement Coordinator, the attendant will follow shelter procedures as they fulfill their duties with minimal supervision.
