Regional Educator (Terrace &amp Area)&nbspPermanent Part-Time 28 hrs. /wk The Regional Educator provides support, information and resources to family members of individuals with serious mental illness. In addition to acting as a liaison between families and the mental health system, the Regional Educator organizes workshops and education programs for families and the public. Qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Experience or education in social services discipline. Experience with delivering programs, teaching/facilitating, working with families. An excellent working knowledge of computers and software programs. Must be able to work independently and as a team member. Must be willing to travel and provide outreach support and education to the communities of Terrace, Kitimat and area. Access to and use of an appropriately insured vehicle is required. Knowledge of mental illness and the Mental Health &amp Addictions system. A good understanding of the needs of family members is beneficial. Requirements Valid BC Drivers license and reliable vehicle. Current criminal record check.
