Kitselas Development Corporation (KDC) Position: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (BDO) Kitselas Development Corporation (KDC) is the economic arm of Kitselas First Nation, with corporate offices located in Terrace, BC. KDC is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by Kitselas First Nation Chief and Council. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the BOO will participate in the development and implementation of strategies to identify business opportunities that promote Kitselas participation in the local and broader economy in Northwest BC. The BDO will have exceptional communication and analytical skills, together with a strong business acumen and attention to detail. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support CEO in development and execution of policies, strategies and initiatives Participate in the.process to negotiate and administer contracts and agreements Establish industry relationships with KOC affiliates, KFN departments, government, agencies, and all other organizations Manage a portfolio of property- landlord-tenant relations All other duties to be discussed with shortlisted applicants CORE COMPETENCIES Degree in business, commerce, economics or similar discipline Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role Experience working with First Nations and Indigenous communities A valid BC Driver's License Ability to successfully undergo a criminal records check All other core competencies to be discussed with shortlisted applicants Please contact Darrin McCormack at (250) 638-8881 or email: ceo@kitselasdlp.ca
