The Prince Rupert Port Authority (PRPA) is currently seeking suitable applicants for the position of Community Outreach Assistant. Reporting to the Manager of Community Relations, supervised by the Community Relations Associate, the Community Outreach Assistant provides training, support and supervision to the front-line customer service staff working in the Port Interpretive Centre/Visitor Information Centre. This position also supports PRPA's public engagement activities and programming by engaging with and maintaining relationships with regional community groups and organizations representing key audiences such as local Indigenous communities, youth and schools, civic organizations, local governments, and corridor communities. The ideal candidate would possess a post-secondary education and one to three years' experience in a customer service work environment. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong spoken and written communication skills as well as judgement and tact in dealing with confidential information.
