DISTRICT OF KITIMATOPERATIONS MAINTENANCE PERSON PERMANENT FULL TIME - EXTERNAL JOB POSTING The District of Kitimat is accepting applications for a Regular, Full-Time, Operations Maintenance Person. Working within the Roads Department, the Operations Maintenance Person (OMP) maintains, repairs or adds to the existing District of Kitimat infrastructure. General Duties Include: General clean up duties and litter control Road repair and maintenance Traffic Control Snow removal operations Turf maintenance and landscaping &ndash mowing of green spaces, weed eating Asphalt work including driveway and roadway restoration and crack sealing Concrete work Brushing, pruning and delimbing Signage installation and maintenance Preferred candidates will have knowledge and some experience with trades techniques and practices; understand the capabilities, limitations and applications of different vehicles, tools and equipment and the ability to safely operate hand tools. Required Qualifications Are: Class 3 Drivers Licence with Airbrake Endorsement WHMIS (Current Level) Traffic Control Certification Will be expected to continually work towards completion of the Operations Maintenance Person training spreadsheet Hours of work will be 40 hours per week.Wage Rate: $35.72 per hour At the District of Kitimat, we are committed to recruiting a diverse workforce that represents the community we serve, establishing an inclusive, equitable, and accessible environment for all.
